The competition is played in memory of former Swanwick resident Stan Brewster who tragically had his life taken in the London Bombings in 2005.

Volunteers wanted
This year's tournament final is scheduled for Sunday, July 25 at Alfreton Town's Impact Arena.  In order to do so though, this year, the tournament organisers require the help of eight volunteers to act as stewards from between 12 noon and 4pm on the day of the final.

Anyone interested in helping out should contact organiser Gary Spencer on 01773 742791 during office hours.


Prize draw

As usual, the tournament will be running a major prize draw throughout it's three-week duration. Tickets are priced at £1 each and the first prize is £150 cash.


Other prizes are:
2nd £50 cash; 3rd £30 Morley Hayes voucher; 4th £25 cash; 5th £25 cash; 6th £25 Owen Taylor meat voucher; 7th Six bottles of wine courtesy of the Angel public house in Ripley; 8th £25 voucher from Tomes Ironmongers, Belper; 9th A back and shoulder massage courtesy of Essence Beauty Rooms in Ripley; 10th Model tipper truck courtesy of JC Balls, plus numerous other prizes.


Tickets are available from Gary Spencer Hairdressing on Nottingham Road in Ripley, the Market Place Cafe, Ripley and from the League of Friends tea bar at Ripley Hospital.


This year's chosen charities are Ripley Hospital League of Friends, the British Heart Foundation and the Breast Unit, Derby Royal Hospital
