Derby City League
under 14's Cup Round
Swanwick Pentrich Road 4 v 0 Beper Sports
Swanwick started brightly, right back Liam Minkley opened the scoring smashing in a 35 yard effort in the opening minute. Jono Hunt made it two heading in Elliot Sharpes pin point cross. Swanwicks defence was well marshalled by man of the match Shivan Vallabh. Harry Hurst in his unfamilar role on the right side of midfield scored the third chipping the keeper. Alex Smith and Chris Gwatkin defended admirably infront of keeper Josh Chambers who kept a clean sheet with a few fine saves. Swanwick dominated play, captain Ollie Cox came close to increasing the lead with a fine solo run. Connor Kerry had a couple of efforts on goal, the keeper pushing the ball around the post. Kieran Flynn scored the fourth to make it a comfortable win for Swanwick. Hopefully the team can repeat the performance in the league next weekend against St. Georges
